Fine. I'll Shop.

Ugh. Sometimes, according to the laws of my family, I cannot be considered a woman. I hate to shop. Hey--their laws, not mine! They also believe a woman should be in the kitchen but you don't see me there much either. So, anyway, (and digression...what's with this anywho business? stop it.) I have purchased some Christmas gifts. Online. Barry keeps saying, "how can you not be done? financially you are...." Silly man.

So here's where I'm at. Done with Barry. Cory, sort of. Short on Rhia.

And nothing else.

Well, cept for Suki, my dog. Her present is under the tree. Ha ha, she can't get it open. It's the small things that amuse me.

My niece, Amanda, who's birthday is tomorrow Holla!, spends a lot of time at our house. When she was little, my brother and his family lived right next door. We were having a birthday party for .......... not sure, one of the little ones..... and Amanda really liked cake. Stop me if you've heard this one... Anyway, NOT anywho, we all sang happy birthday to the lucky birthday person and had some cake and some good times. An hour or so later we found Amanda on our stairs looking very forlorn and downcast.

"Amanda, what's wrong?"

Amanda, writhing on the steps like only a 4 year old can do, "welllllll, I 'd like some more cake but my mom says I can't want it...."

"you can't want it?" giggling

"No, Aunt Linna, my mom says!"

"Mom says what?"

Amanda, getting agitated, "I can't WANT it, I can't WANT it! " Breaks into song "I just can't want it, I just can't want it, tra la la, I just can't WANT it!"

I can't want Christmas shopping no more. I just can't want it.

I have thought of you many, many times though. And believe me, it is the thought that counts.

Love to all of you!
