Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving
Here's my latest card:

------

This seems like a particularly bad card to make right before Thanksgiving. Although I do like the cow and Mr. Potato Head. "I am the One who is made of gumballs?"

---------
Did Yoga last night in the same place we had done Reiki the night before. The energy was still popping.

---------
Rhia & I have been doing the new bellydancing show "Shimmy". It's downright silly. It's supposed to be the sensualist belly dancing. They haven't looked into our living room obviously. Yesterday my niece joined us. Belly dancing Pee Wee Herman style. Not as pretty as I make it sound.

----------
I re-arranged everything in my schedule for the next 6 weeks so I would have lots of time to do Reiki and private Yoga classes for people who are stressing because of the holidays. Trouble may be that people actually enjoy stressing. But that's cool too because then I have extra time. It's a win win, you know? Cept for that silly money thing...

---------
I've been receiving email from The Intenders of the Highest Good. Sample:

*************
My Intention for today is:

I intend that I am seeing everyone, including myself, in their highest light - happy, healthy, whole, and humming.

********************
My Intention for today is:

I intend that I always have enough to spare and enough to share.

-----------
So no worries, Right?

***********************
I intend for all of you to have a marvelous, joyous communion of souls on Thanksgiving.

*********************
And so it is.

Reiki

Once a month, my Reiki Master, my Spiritual Sister and I give Reiki to all who enter the Sanctuary seeking healing at church. Reiki is a very powerful healing energy with one practitioner but when you triple it, it's like a continual grand finale at the fireworks show. Reiki changes your perspective in so many ways. It's hard to describe, when you talk about it you sort of become at a loss for words which is way I think people think we are woo woo. How do you describe something truly mystical? The Tao te Ching says: That which can be named is not the Eternal Name. But I'll try.

When I am healing someone I feel like there is a white band of light connecting me directly to God and a warm red pool around my feet which is rooting me to Earth. Maybe times I feel Jesus hands right on top of mine giving an added boost of healing when it is needed. Often my clients will remark on it-- they feel the presence also. You don't have to be Christian to know that Jesus was a powerful healer. With all that energy coming through me, I feel the effects for days, it's beautiful and calm, keeps getting stronger and deeper as time goes on.

Last night was very overwhelming. Before we started I spent a bit of time in the sacristy visualizing a white light spiraling around me in protection allowing nothing but pure Love to emanate from me to whoever needed it. I was very glad I did. It is a privilege to be so intimately involved in other's healing. It is an honor to be a conduit of God's Love when people are so desperately in need. I am humbled and moved by the triad of healing Jan, Sheree & I created and the willingness and courage of those being healed to open themselves up to it.

After we were finished with the first round of seekers, we had a chance to do a bit of healing on one another. I wonder if un-attuned people feel the same vibrations of energy that exists when healers work on one another? I just felt wave after wave rolling across my body, it was so powerful. I felt as if there was nothing I had to do but just enjoy the ride. I could feel the areas that needed some help--they were twitching with electricity, popping. When they worked on my head, my ears started ringing. Later when we worked on the next round, one of the clients said she could hear the sound of our healing ringing in her ears. Amazing.

I realize this entry has just rambled. Oh well. I am blessed to have this gift. I am thankful everyday that the Reiki came to me. I am grateful for the opportunity to share it. Last night was beautiful-- you never know how much you need something until you have it.

"I never knew how empty was my soul until it was filled"
.....a quote on my kitchen wall spoken by King Arthur in the movie Excalibur.

Weekend Wrap Up

The show was awesome. The kid's were great and we had a really good crowd. We were so pleasantly surprised! It was so much fun to do this show. The parents were some of our favorites, so helpful and thankful. The kid's all had great attitudes and were very enthusiastic. You couldn't ask for more! Here's a few pics from Friday nights rehearsal (you can click on any image to enlarge):

Rhia & Kimi-doing tech for the first time.

Susan, upon hearing "Back in Black" with electric guitars and drums.

"Fame"

"Fa!" A long, long way to jump....

Emily can "hear the bells".

Cutest bunch of barnyard animals I've ever seen.

"We're all in this together!" What a great bunch of kids!
Thanks to all the parents, kids, friends and Parish Life who made it all possible!

Synchronicity Part 2

Yesterday I was scattered. Like a lot of days. I have lots of gottas and lots of wannas and waffle between the two (or is it four) So I sit at the computer working on the program for the show and then I get up to stretch and I get distracted by the kitchen which is covered with stuff from the garage. Last night I was trying to explain this to Barry and John....hold on tight here: I had to clean my closet out so the stuff from the stair closet can go in there so the stuff from the utility room can go in the stair closet so the stuff from the garage can go in the utility room so the stuff from the metal shelves can go in the kitchen so the stuff from the kitchen can go in the shed so we can renovate the garage.

I bet YOU got it. silly men....

Any way, while I start playing with that I realize the laundry really needs done and I had a card I was working on and a couple of cards that needed backs and a couple of people I hadn't returned email to and an update on my website was necessary and Rhia wanted me to exercise with her and Cory asked for help with his resume and I needed to make some ice tea and well...you get the drift right?

I realize I am spinning like a top and not accomplishing anything so I do the only possible thing to make you sane, I go to my altar and pray and meditate for a bit and then decide to do a SoulCollage reading. I write my question in my journal. It's all about my path and a job and the future with SoulCollage and is it all going to be okay? I shuffle all my cards in separate stacks according to suits and slowly pick one at a time.
Companion: Dove "I am the One who will light the way to show you your path. I will wrap my wings around your shoulders and give you comfort and support whenever you need it"

Committee: My Reverent Self "I am the One who is filled with deep gratitude and reverence at the blessings in my life. I am the One showered in flowers, walking the path laid out before me with deep trust and faith"

Community: My SoulCollage Sisters "I am the One who has seen the possibilities and felt the amazing power and energy of the SoulCollage family. I have seen the Light and Spirit in Seena and recognize it as the same light within me"

Council: The Changing Landscape "I am the One going through a Change. I do not know what the end will look like. I am the One working with the cycles of the Moon and keeping my eyes and ears open to know the next phase"

So, of course, I'm like Duh....it doesn't get any clearer than that unless God personally comes and speaks to you. Which I know He did because as I am turning the cards over, each one is a shock.
I had EXACTLY the same cards 2 days ago. All four. Exactly. I don't know what the odds of that are but they have to be tremendous. I could see one being the same or maybe even two. But all four? Doo doo doo doo.....I shuffled each deck separately! Amazing.
So I'm curious what my question was before that the cards turned up in so I go back to read in my journal. Yep, you guessed it. Same question. Phrased a bit differently but same question. It's like God said, "Ummmm, Linda....I already answered that--jeez." Would God say "Jeez"?
Anyway. If I wasn't a believer before...and I was....I mean, really... ALL FOUR CARDS? Guess I should trust the answer huh?

A Plan

So, the last couple of months I have been formulating a plan. Now, good plans always take some time since you can't just sit down and write it all out and start going. You have to let it percolate in the back part of your brain where the monkey can't get to for awhile. It's never in words, it's always just sort of half thoughts or images, a series of "ohhhhhs" and "that's what I've been missing". You have to sort of let it come to you and then you have to sort of test out parts of it and then you have to realize that plans change endlessly so you can't really ever have a plan. It's more of a directional shift, I suppose. It's funny cause when you get "there" you realize you knew it all along, you just didn't want to see it. Sort of like Dorothy with the red slippers.

Barry sent me a quote yesterday that's one of my favorites:

Before enlightenment,
I chopped wood and carried water.
After enlightenment,
I chopped wood and carried water.
-Zen saying

It's that Ordinariness thing again. Plans have to include the simple facts, the simple things you like. And time to do them. It hit me one day when I was chopping vegetables that the reason why we work is so we can afford vegetables to chop but if we don't have time we buy them already cut up. And that's when I decided to remodel the garage.

Get it? See what I mean about not being able to think it? You sort of have to let wash over you....If I rented or bought a space to have my spiritual center in, I would spend all my time running the business and would have no time to practice my spirituality. Duh me. What is it that I really want? Enough money/time/space to share the wonderful things I've learned with my friends and future friends. I don't want it to be about having to make a certain amount for rent or teach a certain number of classes or anything like that. I want to chop vegetables and smile at the people chopping them with me. There's no place like home...There's no place like home....

The shed is done! I am looking for a part time job, one that will help me have time to chop vegetables and money to buy them too. I feel very good about my plans, a lot of them are things that I've known for a very long time were not good for me, were draining my good energy and making me a very negative nancy. I feel confident that yoga & reiki & soulcollage are my future and that God is leading me and teaching me patience.....and in His/Her humorous way reminding me to be careful what I pray for.... Silly me.

It's all good.
